Damien Memorial

Damien Memorial Key Club was chartered on July 28, 2014, joining the Division 22 Komohana family with only a handful of new members. Accompanied by the assistance of Faculty Advisor Mr. Neil Nitta and KIWANIS Advisor Mr. Joel Tabangcura, both of which are advising the club to this day, Damien Memorial Key Club still stands strong in its pursuit of service.

Since the 2019-2020 school year, Damien Memorial Key Club has managed to maintain a Diamond Distinguished AAR score despite the difficulties produced by the pandemic. Now, the club, with 35 members in total, is working on increasing its in-person service opportunities with both sponsoring and non-sponsoring clubs in order to fulfill its goal of sustaining better relationships with the other branches of the KIWANIS-Family. Additionally, the club currently plans on expanding service and leadership opportunities to middle school students, initiating Damien Memorial’s very first Builder’s Club in the fall of 2021.
